I am a PhD student in the Stadius research group at KU Leuven, Belgium, advised by prof. Johan Suykens. In 2014, I received a Master of Civil Engineering degree from KU Leuven, after which I was a project manager for several construction companies. However, in 2020-2021, I pursued a Master of Artificial Intelligence degree with the aim of reigniting my passion for science and starting a career in research.
Generally, I enjoy bridging gaps between different research (sub)fields with a theoretical mindset. My specific research interests include deep learning for structured data and (deep) kernel machines. As a person of many interests, I am very much open to expanding my horizon beyond these topics.
